Blauvent: Looking Back, Moving Forward
The past few years have been an incredible ride for us, challenging yet full of transformative experiences. Like many, we encountered unexpected hurdles, particularly when the pandemic reshaped our world.
Just before everything changed, we made a bold decision: to unite our forces by having Joakim leave his previous role and fully commit to Carmesine, our dedicated fashion studio. This shift also meant diversifying Blauvent’s product offerings. However, when the pandemic hit, our challenges escalated quickly, supply chains faltered, deliveries were delayed, and European companies urgently needed new solutions for sampling and prototyping.

Fortunately, our decision to dive fully into 3D fashion design couldn’t have been timelier. As technological advancements accelerated, we found ourselves at the forefront of fully virtual design studios. We refined and expanded our 3D workflow at a rapid pace, positioning us perfectly to meet the growing demand. Oneof our most exciting milestones came with the opportunity to collaborate with Salomon on a capsule collection developed entirely in 3D. This breakthrough soon evolved into creating digital prototypes for their entire apparel line, as well as parts of their accessories and bags collection. Achieving this required us to scale up quickly, invest in additional rendering power, streamline our processes, and commit countless hours over several years.
During this period of rapid evolution, updating Blauvent’s platform with new collections and articles took a backseat. But now, we’re excited to share even more stories, insights, and experiences. The design advancements at Carmesine are deeply intertwined with Blauvent’s DNA, reflecting our commitment to creating sustainable products that are both beautiful and enduring. We remain dedicated to pushing creative boundaries, crafting exquisite designs, and continuing our journey beyond our origins in upcycled wings.
